Hilton Garden Inn Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga

The hotel and grounds looked nice from the outside. The staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. My room was clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water. I had to call the front desk to ask how to use the thermostat and got helpful directions immediately. My hamburger was overcooked and they immediately recooked another one and brought it to my room. Except for hearing constant door slamming at certain hours, being close to the room where employees go to get towels and sheets, it was a very quiet and enjoyable stay. They have a 24-hour pantry so you can buy snacks, food and beverages any time. Coffee and hot chocolate were always available and free. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

As we pulled in the parking lot of the hotel I was cut off and almost hit by a car. The same car nearly ran over my boyfriend as they pulled in the parking space I was going to pull into. When we got to the check in counter low and behold it was the same person that caused all the problems in the parking lot checking us in. An employee of the hotel. My boyfriend said something to him and all he could do is say he was late for work. No apology was given. The next morning before checking out I checked my bank account on line and saw two charges from the hotel. One charge for $50 from the Saturday we checked in and the second charge for $100 that Sunday morning. As we checked out I asked the person at the desk why I was charged $150. They read the last 4 digits of a credit card that was not mine out and said it was only charged $50. When I corrected them and they looked again. Then told me that they had to take extra out for incidentals to make sure the funds were good. It didn't sound right to me. When I called a few days later to see why the funds had not been returned & to talk to a manager I was given the run around. Finally, 5 days after checking out the funds were returned to me. They had no sign up to say how much they would hold for incidentals. Most hotels we stay at have a sign stating $50 would be on hold for incidental. Now I have $90 in bank fees because automatic payments for my bills were taken out and the bank paid them. I expected $50 to be taken not a $150. I still have not received a call from the manager after leaving several messages for him. If I knew $150 was going to be on hold for incidentals I would not have stayed. ...read more

Hotel was pleasant, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Roms were comfortable and spacious. The microwave and fridge were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and I would return without a doubt. The indoor pool and spa were very relaxing. ...read more

The room was extremely comfortable and classy-served my needs and then some.

Everything was great other than a bunch of kids dominating the pool time. One desk clerk was a little grumpy but the rest were very friendly and helpful.
